When disco was declared dead in 1979, dance music was forced back underground, resulting in one of its most creative periods, and New York soon became a hub for the new electro-funk and post-disco sounds which heavily influenced Greg Wilson selections at Manchester’s Legend in the early eighties.
Channeling the sound and spirit of this time, Sweet Tooth T is a project harking back to those hallowed days in NYC. Covering Chemise’s 1982 cult club cut ‘She Can’t Love You’, Katherine Reynolds takes the lead, expertly weaving lyrics from Triple X’s 1999 ‘Feel The Same’ into the boogie groove.
