When ‘World Gone Crazy’ was originally written in the early nineties it identified an information age already spiraling out of control. Two decades on however, and it’s far beyond anything anyone could have imagined back then. Initially referencing the post-acid house generation ‘lost and disillusioned’, this now becomes the sixties generation, growing old in a world even more corrupt and confused than the one they thought they’d change.
Having lay dormant for two decades, the track was given new life thanks to The Reverend Cleve Freckleton. Drawing from his time serving as ‘Minister of Music’ alongside a pimp-turned-preacher in the States, The Reverend channels the fire and spectacle of a spiritual laden Deep South service as he calls out the evils of the world.
